Sexy Trees of the Marigny Calendar

To help promote tree-planting in her neighborhood in New Orleans, Chang created this calendar that celebrated good-looking trees in the Marigny. She photographed local trees and paired them with maps of their locations and facts about the benefits of trees. Trees provide shade and protect from wind, reducing yearly heating and cooling costs by 2.1 billion dollars. Tree roots hold soil in place and prevent erosion from heavy rains. Tree canopies absorb rain, reducing the pressure on storm water drainage systems. All proceeds from the calendar went to local nonprofit organization Marigny Green to support tree planting and the local environment.
