In October 2008, James Reeves and I volunteered for the Obama campaign. With official canvassing instructions in hand, we walked door-to-door in a suburban neighborhood in Pennsylvania, asked residents which candidate they were leaning towards, and offered campaign materials. While awkwardly frightening a number of people who never receive unplanned visitors at their front door, we also talked with residents who graciously shared their thoughts and experiences. At the end of the day, boxes were checked and data was collected, but where does all this information go? To give it a different kind of life, we made a collage of the results below.






I lately came across your blog and have been learning along. I thought I would leave my first remark. I don
